Studio: Framestore LA

Role: Lead 2D Motion Design

I was invited to help out on Temu’s Super Bowl LVII campaign, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The spot, led by Saatchi & Saatchi LA, director Robert Jitzmark, and Framestore, had a fun, quirky vibe, and blended practical and digital VFX to bring the story to life. My focus was on logo animation and exploring ripple effects that tied into the overall theme of magical deals. I created these ripple and glow effects in After Effects and Cinema 4D, making sure they felt playful but polished. We used them on phones, mirrors, and ultimately brought the same energy into the Temu logo itself, creating a visual thread across the whole spot.

It was a fast-moving project with a lot of moving parts, but I’m really thankful to have been part of the team. Getting to contribute to a Super Bowl campaign, even in a focused area like this, was a memorable and rewarding experience.

Framestore gave me the space to explore and pitch a few different reveal concepts. I was really happy with the first two animations I created, but Temu had a different direction in mind. At the end of the day, it’s all about making the client happy, and I’m glad I could contribute to a result they were excited about.
