Red Bull partnered with Snapchat to build anticipation for the annual Formula 1 event through a series of interactive filters. I was brought on to creatively direct and develop a cinematic 3D teaser that introduced the car in a stylized, moody garage setting, hinting at the full reveal to come. The concept focused on a slow-burn, atmospheric reveal, using dramatic camera moves, controlled lighting, and 3D staging to build tension and elevate the sense of anticipation. Every camera angle was carefully designed to create a sense of scale, energy, and mystery, all within a tight narrative loop optimized for Snapchat’s interactive platform. This piece wasn’t just about showcasing a car; it was about building a moment that fans could share and get hyped about before race day.
Adapted for multiple social formats
We spent a lot of time testing camera angles and creating playblasts to find the most cinematic shots that showcased the sleek curves and aggressive design of the Red Bull Formula 1 car. Some of the angles we landed on were absolutely stunning, but with Snapchat's strict time constraints, we had to trim everything down significantly to fit the format. There’s definitely a longer story to tell here, and I’m looking forward to developing a Director’s Cut that gives the visuals more room to breathe and brings the full creative vision to life.
