Google for Education

An Invisible Story

Client: Huge

Role: Lead 2D Motion Design

Background

Gemini for Education is Google's free, privacy-first AI assistant for schools, helping teachers plan lessons, students study, and staff cut admin work. I refined the page's motion graphics based on client feedback, tuning pacing, timing, and transitions to match Google's brand standards. On a page this dense, motion shows the product in action, turning prompts into lesson plans, documents into podcasts, so educators grasp the value in seconds instead of reading about it.

Problem

Gemini for Education is one of Google's densest pages, a free AI assistant doing a dozen things for teachers, students, and admins. Parts of the page leaned on older motion assets that no longer matched where Google's system had moved. The work: refresh what was dated and build new motion that read as native to the page, without bending Google's brand standards an inch.

Execution

I rebuilt aging motion assets and created new ones to Google's current style, matching pacing, easing, and visual language closely enough that old and new sat together seamlessly. On a brand this scrutinized, the craft is the job: every new beat had to look like it had always been there.

Results

New and refreshed motion shipped to production on a live Google product page, cleared brand review, and integrated invisibly into the existing system, the mark of a clean match on a high-standards brand.

Google Enterprise and Gemini Deep Search assets were the same.
